THE RIGHT TO INFORMATION ACT, 2005
The Right to information Act-2005, as passed by the Parliament has come into effect from 12.10.2005. Our bank being a body established under law made by the Central Govt. is a Public Authority under the said Act. Therefore, the said Act is applicable to our bank also. Under the Act all citizens, subject to the provisions of Right to information Act, shall have the right to information, which is held by or under the control of any public authority, which includes the right to inspection of work, documents, records etc.
For
the compliance of the provisions of the Right to information Act, the Bank has
nominated the following officials to enforce the provision of the said
Act as Central Public Information Officer and Central Assistant Public
Information Officer.
