CANVASSING – OUTSIDE PRESSURE
Recently a few instances of canvassing/bringing out side pressure by some employees have come to our notice.
In this regard we reiterate the provisions of Staff Service Regulations 2005 as under:-
“
Regulation 34 - Canvassing
No Officer
or employee shall, bring or attempt to bring any political or other outside
influence to bear upon any superior authority to further his interest in respect
of matters pertaining to his service in the Bank.”
Further, the provisions under Staff Service Regulation 38 inter-alia contains “……….an
officer or employee who commits a breach of these Regulations …… shall be
liable for any one or more penalties as prescribed herein after.”
Any infringement in this regard will attract
Disciplinary Proceedings against the concerned employee in terms of aforesaid
Regulations and the same will also be recorded in his/her personal file.
