Detailed position / progress made by the Bank:

Ø Deposits: Clientele base of the bank in deposits as on the date of amalgamation was 4,66,246 and increased to 769731 as on 31.03.2010. In order to cater the needs of vast section of our population, Bank has introduced PGB Mitra Saving Account Scheme (No Frills Account). This product would prove to be a good tool for opening the accounts of individuals with smaller income. Since the launching of this scheme we have opened 152617 no frill accounts. To increase number of no frill accounts further branches have been advised to open at least one “no frill account” on daily basis and progress of No Frill Accounts is monitored regularly.

Ø Advances: Keeping in view its commitment to boost the credit to Agriculture Sector, the Bank has launched area specific campaigns and each branch has been advised to identify the farmers who are still in the clutches of moneylenders. To tap the untapped rural potential we have also launched various new scheme under this sector viz. Ichchhapurti Scheme, Sampooran Rin Yojna, for Agriculturists etc. Similarly different schemes on the pattern of Sponsor Bank are also launched to boost the credit under non farm sector.
